Settings dialog

The Settings dialog is organized into panels, one for each subject area.

You -- asks for your name, email address, profile URL, Twitter and Facebook usernames. This information is included in the OPML files we generate.

Font -- allows you to set the default font, size and line-height for outlines. You can override these choices for each outline in the Outline Settings dialog in the File menu.

Auto-Save -- allows you to turn off auto-save (or turn it on if it was off). You can also control the minimum number of seconds between auto-saves. When you stop typing, Fargo will wait this long before saving, allowing you to pause briefly while typing without causing a save.

Blog -- allows you to connect Fargo with a WordPress site. Enter the URL of the site, and your username and password. You can optionally have the blog post text pass through a Markdown processor on its way to WordPress.

Insert -- controls the way the big + icon in the left margin works. You can set the type of newly created headlines, whether they automatically appear in the RSS 2.0 feed for the outline, and whether newly inserted headlines are initially commented.

CMS -- allows you to configure the content management system built into Fargo 2.

CSS -- allows you to include CSS style information that controls everything about the way Fargo displays. More info.

Code -- allows you to provide JavaScript code that runs when Fargo starts up and when Fargo saves an outline with a public URL.

Advanced -- you can provide an encryption password for all files that are encrypted, or hide the right sidebar, or display outline attributes in the right sidebar.
